Donna Hargrove DO, FACOG | Board Certified Gynecologist
Dr. Donna Hargrove was born in Augusta, Georgia and attended the University of Georgia where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1980. After changing from a career in horticulture, she attended Georgia State University, for post baccalaureate, completing nutrition and pre medical courses and was accepted into medical school at The Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she received her medical degree in 1996.
She completed a traditional medical internship at Suncoast Hospital, Largo, Florida in 1997, and completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency training at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Florida in 2001. During her residency she received awards in research and pathology and was honored as outstanding resident of the year in her junior year and served as Administrative Chief Resident Physician her senior year.
Dr. Hargrove is a Board Certified Ob/Gyn, a Diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is an active member of the Florida Obstetrics and Gynecology Society and the Florida Medical Association.
Dr. Hargrove has a strong interest in health and wellness as it applies to nutrition and food choices. She has extensive training in nutrition and is the nutrition editor for her culinary and educational website, www.nutritionhealthnet.com, along with her husband Bren Ankrum, who is the culinary editor. Dr. Hargrove has been trained in hormone imbalances and is recognized as a leading expert physician in Pinellas county Florida for bio-identical hormone pellet therapy involving estrogen and testosterone.
Dr. Hargrove is also a member of the American Academy of Procedural Medicine and The American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine with certifications in laser aesthetic procedures, Botox/Xeomin injections and collagen fillers.
Dana Crown| CCMA, Clinical Coordinator
Dana Crown, CCMA, is the primary medical assistant and clinical coordinator for Dr. Donna Hargrove. She has been a medical assistant for the last thirteen years and has been an active team member of Women’s Care Florida for the past fourteen years. She has a great knowledge and passion for gynecology, along with a sweet and patient approach with her patients. In addition to her work she’s happily married and enjoys spending time with her daughter.
Gina Glenn| MA
Gina came to Bay Gynecology after returning to Florida from Texas where she spent 6 years. While in Texas Gina got married and had her son. She acquired a bachelor degree in criminology in 2007 and decided to go into medicine because of her nature to help so in to 2009 she became a medical assistant. Her medical background includes pulmonary, internal medicine and cardiology. Gina enjoys the outdoors with her family on her free time.
Angela Hood| Office Manager
Born and raised in Florida, Angela has more than 20 years experience in the medical field with 13 of it as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She has worked as a LPN in pediatrics, family practice, geriatrics and dermatology. In additional to her nursing career she is also educated in medical billing and coding. Angela joined Dr. Hargrove at Women’s Care Florida in July 2014 after 17 years with her previous employer. Outside of work Angela enjoys watching live music as well as downtime with family and friends.
Elizabeth Jedlovec | Front Office
Liz has been an LPN for 23 years and retired from clinical nursing 7 years ago, working as a nurse in Rheumatology, ENT and general practice. Liz wanted something with a different approach in the medical field and became part of the Women’s Care Florida team in 2014. She will be the first to welcome you when you arrive at Bay Gynecology. Liz also loves to cook, garden and read.
