Dr. Linda Tijerino was born in Managua, Nicaragua and is fluent in both Spanish and English. She graduated from the University of Illinois in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in General Biology. She attended the University of Illinois College of Medicine and received her Medical Doctorate in May of 1998.

Dr. Tijerino completed her Obstetric and Gynecology Residency at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Florida in 2002 and went into private practice at Bay Gynecological Associates, St. Petersburg. She is a Diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is an active member of the Pinellas County Medical Society, Florida Medical Society, and Florida Ob & Gyn Society.
